The Arya beer fount was created in partnership with Heineken UK to provide a brand new, stylish, and universally appealing fount, used as a new standard offering across the multitude of beer and cider brands owned and operated by Heineken. The innovative fount design incorporates an easily removable front fascia panel, which can be swapped with ease by removing a single fixing at the rear of the unit and unhooking the panel. This ground-breaking functionality enables effortless modification of branding at the bar, without the need to fully disassemble, remove and replace the fount. Traditionally, swapping a built-in fount would require extensive labour to be carried out by an on-site technician. With the Arya fount, this process can be carried out easily by the end user in a matter of minutes.
The Arya fount was designed from the ground up to be universally compatible with all standard bar and pump setups. The fount can accommodate both standard and CFT pumps and is available in three main variants, which address all potential installation scenarios. A through-bar option allows the fount to be installed permanently through the bar surface, providing a sleek and seamless integration which still allows for easy removal of the front fascia panel. A clamp-on variant can be fitted to the edge of a bar surface, providing a more temporary solution. Finally, a more advanced air-cooled variant has been designed, which is used in conjunction with an innovative temperature controlled dispense system used by Heineken in Europe.
Despite the minimalist appearance of the default Arya column, the potential for customisation is perhaps the most exciting aspect of the design. At the simplest level, the default chrome plated cylindrical fascia panel or badge can be swapped in order to rapidly change the branding of the unit. A multitude of colour, material, finish and graphics options are possible.
The Arya fount can also accommodate fully customised fascia panels, which have the potential to take on a vast variety of shapes and forms. The only requirement is for any bespoke facias to integrate the appropriate attachment features and blend into the rear spine of the fount.
The European variant of the fount takes the design even further, integrating an air-cooled inner enclosure and temperature and flow monitoring system, which chills the beer line all the way to the tip of the nozzle and accurately records the volume of beer dispensed through the fount. Designed to be compatible with the Heineken ‘David’ dispense system, the European variant uses an innovative single-use delivery tube which is swapped each time the barrel is changed. The inner enclosure allows the tube to be fitted from underneath the bar and guides the delivery tube through the fount to the nozzle, where it is clamped in position. By swapping the beer line with each barrel, the requirement to clean and service the beer line is removed entirely and hygiene is improved greatly.
The cross compatibility and versatility of the Arya fount has resulted in a great deal of recognition within Heineken and has culminated in the successful adoption of the design throughout the United Kingdom and across Europe. New branded fascia designs are now continuously under development by Heineken to fit to the Arya fount.
