Engineering - From the moment a project is undertaken at FSW Design, the manufacturing implications of all decisions are considered. Design ideas are conceived and developed to ensure our customers achieve the long-term financial rewards of a cost effectively designed product. We have particular skills in engineering using plastics, with practical experience of all the main plastic manufacturing processes including injection, blow and rotational moulding. We ensure that the most appropriate process is used to meet the functional and budgetary constraints of a project.  FSW Design have received the Plastics Industry Award for Industrial Product Design on three separate occasions, in recognition of the high levels of knowledge applied to both material selection and engineering rigour. As part of our complete project offering FSW can support you with a range of electronic design and development services. In all projects we adopt a structured approach to your development from briefing, specification and system analysis through to design development prototyping and manufacture.

Prototype - We offer a range of prototyping solutions which are tailored to the specific requirements of the project. In some instances visual models are invaluable for gaining customer and focus group feedback on product proposals. It is also critical to understand how a product will perform prior to committing to final production tooling. From early validation of mechanisms to complex fully functioning samples FSW have the experience and ingenuity to manufacture test rigs and prototypes. FSW utilise the full range of rapid prototyping processes during product development. The skill is in applying the correct process to the project requirement. All our projects are carefully appraised prior to committing to prototyping to ensure the most appropriate form of RP is used to provide the best possible simulation of product function.  

Manufacturing - At FSW Design we work across a diverse range of different industries. This allows us to draw from successful experiences in one market and apply them in unique ways to another. We aim to define a visual brand language with every product we create, to clearly define a company’s position in the marketplace. Often we establish long-term relationships with our clients, developing a brand language for implementation across a complete product range. Our designers are always up to date with trends in the marketplace.
